Smora was originally published as part of a knitwear collection published by PomPom Press. This collection was based on knitwear my mum designed in the 70s in Shetland.

This Fair Isle hat pattern can be worked as either a beanie or beret.

Needles:
3.5mm / US 4 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length (for body of hat)
3.5mm / US 4 DPNs or long circular needle (if working magic loop for crown of hat)
3mm / US 2 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length (for brim)
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

1 stitch marker, tapestry needle for weaving in ends
