These colorwork mittens are worked bottom up with thumb gusset shaping. Once the thumb shaping is finished those stitches are put on hold and the remainder of the hand is worked in the round and finished with fingertip shaping similar to what you would find in a hat crown.
Additional length can be added to the thumb and hand area by working more plain rows or working additional ribbing rows.

Hand Circumference: 9” / 23 cm
Length from cuff to top: 9 ½”/ 24 cm
Note: Additional length can be added to the ribbed cuff or as plain rnds of knitting after the main motif on the hand and at the top of the thumb.
