Lang Ayre

Sale price$6.00

This pattern was originally published in Kate Davies "Book of Haps".

Lang Ayre
Inspired by the many-hued stripes of pink and grey granite around Ronas Hill in Shetland, this hap is named for a beautiful stretch of beach in the same vicinity.

Construction
This shawl starts with a centre-out construction where yarn overs are made at the beginning of every row to increase the centre diamond to the widest point. Yarn overs continue to be made at the beginning of each row as the second half of the diamond is formed but this time decreases are also made at the beginning and end of each row to get rid of stitches. Two triangles are then made, working from the edges of the diamond.
