Vidlin is worked bottom up using a Shetland construction to create the triangular shape. It features a stunning geometric lace pattern that is sometimes seen in traditional Shetland edgings but in this case has been used to form the all over pattern.

Shown in AVKW Floating (70% Superfine Alpaca/ 20% Silk/ 10% Cashmere; 400 yrds/4oz) in “Bay Sailor” (blue shawl) and AVKW Flock 1st Edition (100% California wool-­‐blend of Cormo, Corriedale, & Targhee: 300yrds/50g) in “Deep Forest” (green shawl).

17 sts and 34 rows= 4 inches in Lace Pattern on US 6/4mm needles.
Note: This gauge is after an aggressive blocking. If you decide not to do a gauge swatch make sure that you have plenty of yarn on hand as the yardage used will likely be affected
