This kit is for the yarn only

The Hap Quilt Vest Kit is worked using Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift.

Foxglove is the MC used in the sample. The center triangles were knit using scraps of different shades of Spindrift. For this kit I am including 6 different shades to be used in the center triangles.

Those are: Oyster, Mogit, Nutmeg, Green Mist , Yellow Ochre + Pebble.

MC: 5 (5, 6, 6, 6) (7, 7, 8, 8) balls.
1 ball of each 6 contrast colors

Please note that the pattern is NOT part of this kit. The pattern is only in my new book "Shetland Shades: Stories in Wool"

Chest Circumference (back and front pieces combined): 35 (37 ¼, 40 ¼, 43 ¾, 46 ¼) (49 ¼, 52 ¼, 55 ¼, 60 ¼)“ / 89 (94.5, 102, 111, 117.5) (125, 133, 140.5, 153) cm.

Recommended to be worn with approx. 2–3” / 5–7.5 cm of positive ease.
Shown in size 3 with 2 ¼“ / 5.5 cm of positive ease at chest.

Materials

Yarn: Fingering-weight yarn in the following amounts:
MC: 520 (550, 600, 650, 685) (730, 775, 820, 895) yds / 475 (505, 550, 595, 630) (670, 710, 750, 820) m.
CC: Each triangle uses approx. 20 (20, 20, 22, 22) (22, 25, 25, 27) yds / 18 (18, 18, 20, 20) (20, 23, 23, 25) m of fingering-weight yarn if using one color per triangle.

The center of the back and front pieces consist of four triangles (8 triangles in total). Each of the triangles can be worked using up small scraps of color or in one single color. The sample, shown in size 3, uses two different colors per triangle. 8 garter ridges are worked for the first shade and 13 for the second shade.

Shown in: Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (100% Shetland Wool; 115 yds / 105 m per 25 g ball) in shade Foxglove (MC) and yarn scraps from yarn stash (CC).

Needles

US 6 / 4 mm circular needle, 16” / 40 cm, 24” / 60 cm and 32” / 80 cm length (main needle).
US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needle, 16” / 40 cm (for neckband).

Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions

4 stitch markers (1 of which should be unique for beg of round), waste yarn, tapestry needle, 4 buttons (1–1 ½“ / 2.5–4 cm in diameter) or desired size

Gauge

21 sts & 42 rows = 4” / 10 cm over Garter Stitch worked flat using main needle, after blocking.
